The Unforgivable Sin

Many people worry about committing the unforgivable sin. They know that when that sin is committed their name will be blotted out of the Lamb's book of life and their soul will perish. That's a frightening thing, especially if you don't even know what that sin is.

It is impossible, however, to commit the unforgivable sin unless you know what it is, because in ignorance, there is no sin. Most would probably rather not know what it is so they won't run that risk, but they have no worries anyway. God's elect, however, must be aware of what that sin is, because only those few have the knowledge to be able to commit it.

I JOHN 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

The words of this verse after the first comma have been added by the translators. They were not in the original manuscripts. Verses 7 and 8 should read as follows:

I JOHN 5:8
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

This confirms that all of God's word is in total agreement. Life, death, and resurrection all agree in one and within this is involved the unforgivable sin.

I JOHN 5:9
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son.

God's witness is His Word, manifest in His Son, and here to us all through the Holy Spirit. His witness cannot be altered. To altar or refuse His witness is very serious.

I JOHN 5:10
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.

The Holy Spirit is in the man that believes in Jesus Christ born of Mary. One who does not believe has neither the Holy Spirit, nor the witness of Christ within him. The unbeliever makes God out a liar and will not overcome to be rewarded with eternal life at the end of this earth age. (After he is taught in the millennium he will be accountable.) But, remember, the one that commits the unforgivable sin must do so in knowledge and will not have the chance to be educated, for he is accountable.

Christ speaks of the one sin that is unpardonable to his disciples. They are His chosen few that He gives understanding. All of the gospels give an account, but let's read of it in Luke.

LUKE 12:1
1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

This hypocrisy is the doctrine of the Satan. If you listen to it you will ultimately worship him.

LUKE 12:2
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Through God's understanding, ultimately all things shall be known. His Truth, from which so many are blinded at this time, shall be made known to all.

LUKE 12:3
3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

People worry about things they have spoken or thought, fearing they have forfeited their eternal soul. Christ was speaking of His Truth, not of secret thoughts of individuals. His Word will be released from the housetops, which means announced to the world. he will proclaim His Truth through those He has chosen.

LUKE 12:4
"And I say unto you My friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Flesh is nothing! Antichrist can tattoo 666 all over your body and it has nothing at all to do with you losing your eternal life. It is your spirit that inhabits your body that will determine the outcome of your soul.

LUKE 12:5-7
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

God knows your every need and thought and He will protect you. You don't need to fear anything or anybody except Him.

LUKE 12:9
9 "But he that denieth Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

There is a time coming when we are all going to appear before God's judgment seat. If Christ denies you there, your name is not written in the book of life. It means you didn't make it. A firstfruit of Christ has no blindness (ignorance) to hide in. He is accountable and blessed with the opportunity to carry out Christ's witness.

LUKE 12:10
"And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven."

A bad word, or thought against the flesh man, Christ, is forgivable, for the Holy Spirit is not in that one. He is blind and unaware. If is unforgivable if you have that Holy Spirit within you, after the blood was shed, and sin against It. Why after the blood was shed? The office that followed the death of Christ was the Comforter. The Holy Spirit.

You have been instructed thoughout God's Word that the Holy Spirit in you wants to witness through you. If you deny It, you are denying the shed blood of Christ. If Christ has chosen you as a champion of the people and wishes to speak through you, do not premeditate what you will say beforehand.

He'll speak in the tongue spoken on Pentecost day which means clearly understood in every language. God's word shall be delivered. Should you refuse God that opportunity, you will commit the unforgivable sin.

LUKE 12:11
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say."

These are the synagogues written of in Revelation 2:9. Synagogues that are not yet established, but when that time comes you will be delivered up to the powers and magistrates of Satan. There is only one sin unforgivable, and it is always addressed in relation to this event.

We have established that their sin is to deny the Holy Ghost. Are you afraid you have already committed it? Christ always prepares us with understanding and to know of this sin you must also know at what time it is possible to commit it.

LUKE 12:12
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say."

THIS is the time! In that hour. It is the same hour spoken of in Revelation 17, when the ten kings and rulers come to power one hour with the Son of perdition. It is Satan's time. Antichrist's big moment. This is also the hour of witness for His elect, but it will not be witness of man.

It is God's witness made possible when the Holy Spirit takes control. You don't have to speak Hebrew or Greek, the Holy Spirit will speak through you with that same tongue given on Pentecost day. The one spoken of by the prophet Joel. The tongue that all nations will hear and understand.

Without knowledge, no one can, or has, committed the unforgivable sin. The time is not even yet come when it can be committed. God blinded those that could not stand against Antichrist.

And you see, in all the deception their blindness is their innocence. In your behalf, however, he has given you sight so that you may be His vessel. Because you did stand, and will again, against Satan He will provide you the opportunity for His Spirit to witness to all nations.

I do not think it will be possible for one of God's elect to commit that sin. Only those who are aware of it are capable of doing so, but to deny His Spirit would mean to side with Antichrist. One of God's elect would have to find Satan tempting in order to side with him.

But, we know that serpent. We will recognize and not be deceived. there is nothing tempting about him, instead he will be reviling to you, so do not fear him. You are chosen of God to do a job and you will not let Him down.
