THE TEN VIRGINS

In all of our studies in God's Word, we must remember that the true meaning for those chosen of God, and called to service is hidden in the scriptures. These are the "mysteries" that Paul spoke of. So we must remember;

2 Tim 2:15-16 1 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Now there is a lot of "profane" and "vain" [empty] babbling going on in the "churches" today.

Titus 1:10-11 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

We know that the circumcision today is of the heart, and not the flesh. So verse 10 is talking about Christians and those who claim to teach it. We are to be diligent to study on our own, not simply taking ANY man's words for truth, but must rightly divide God's Word, and to check everything a man would tell us for ourselves.

Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Do you realize that there are "Jewish fables" taught in the "churches" of the world, and have become a major part of their doctrine, and that the "commandments of men" or church systems and legalism, do's and don'ts make the Word of God void [nothingness] in our mind?

Amos 5:4-7 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live: 5 But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought. 6 Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

You see here in Amos the KJV translators could have done a better job in this verse, because by transliterating the word "Bethel" we totally lose the meaning there in. Bethel in the Hebrew tongue means House of God.

So what is He saying in these verses? Don't seek out a "church" to find salvation, and God's truth, SEEK GOD!!! How do we do that? By a lot of sincere prayer and diligent Study in His word, with the right tools.

Amos 8:11-13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. 13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

It is written that Christ has the Living Water which, if we partake there of, we shall NEVER thirst. He also has the "bread of Life" which heals us spiritually and gives sight to the blind spiritually. Beloved that water and bread can only be found through seeking Him not any "church".

Now we will get on with the main theme of this study.

Matt 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Now to understand this we must know that a lamp of this day was a small thing that only held enough oil for a short while and needed to be refilled often so you had to have a reserve if you planed to keep it lit over a long period of time. And what does a lamp do? It displays light by burning oil, we as Christians are to have the oil which is the truth with in us so we can burn Christ's light so that all may see [though most won't, yet].

So we have 10 virgins, and at this time they are still faithful to Christ who is the bridegroom, and the virgins are the Christians. For an in-depth study on this relationship read the Song of Solomon.

Matt 25:2 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Now here we see that five are wise and five are foolish, it would be wise for us to understand WHY. Never forget biblical numerics and that five is grace, so we see that the blind, are blind by grace, and the wise, are wise by grace. Why?

Rom 11:8 8 According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

And there is a reason for this but another study for another time. Lets continue.

Matt 25:3 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Now we see the problem with the foolish Virgins. Beloved these are CHRISTIANS, and they had a tiny bit of oil in their lamps, example; Salvation, and Baptism. But they took no extra oil in reserve, what does that mean? They allowed man to tell them what God's Word declares, as well as His plan. They did not use the tools, like a Strong's Concordance, and a KJV Bible so that they could take the English words back to the original language and get a definition for every word in their bible, some words having more than one meaning. The translators wrote a letter to the reader in the original 1611 King James Bible, Warning us to beware that they did the best that they could, but it is impossible to completely give the same flavor and flow of thoughts written, and then translated to another language.

Matt 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Here we go, these are the wise virgins, They did take extra oil with their lamps! They did read God's Word for themselves, and in the original languages when needs be. They did check out what the "preachers" said and tested their fruits. They did, by studying, understand God's Word to the depth that they were able to overcome the evil day.

They did have the key of David and understood Rev 2:9 and Rev 3:9. They did understand the power that Christ gave them over all there enemies, and knew their enemies. And they did have the victory in Christ!

Matt 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Now if you sleep in Christ, with the truth and the Holy Spirit in you, you may slumber a bit, but you Have that reserve of oil. The foolish virgins on the other hand not having a reserve, can't afford to go to sleep but they will, and many are today.

Matt 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Here we are at the Midnight hour, if you know God's plan, you know that, that is the time of Christs return, in part that cry is going out today.

Matt 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.) 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

There are a lot of places to "buy" religion, people are making millions selling paperback prophesies to the Christian community. These guys are Big Business. And wether you know it or not many of these favorite authors use ghost writers to do their work, who are not Christians. Satan has four hidden dynasties and they are;

1) religion 2) education 3) economics 4) politics

If you believe God's Word you know that Satan has a tight grip on all these areas in the main stream.

Matt 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

SHUT friend, the rest will remain dead [spiritually speaking] for the 1,000 years of the millennium reign where, the truth Will be taught by the wise, to the foolish. With Satan in the pit, and his deception gone so that all will hear and know, before God has to destroy His some of His children in the lake of fire!

Isa 29:18 And in that day [ the Lords day ] shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

Matt 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Here we go, the foolish have been shut out. These were Christians, beloved, they remained virgins for a time. But some where, they lost that virginity else they would have been allowed in. Here is proof of that from Jesus Himself. Rightly divide God's Word, Beloved.

Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

those three verses pretty much speak for them selves.

Matt 25:12-13 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Ok, lets move on. We have come to a wedding here, so lets see what else God would have us know concerning this wedding.

Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Wife? Interesting but we will not go into that now, though you may want to look into that. She made her self ready, how? By being a WISE virgin.

Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

What is this? These are the only things you can take with you to heaven. The things that you do, that are righteous. What does that mean? That it is right, plain and simple so if your concept of God's plan is not right for not having studied in-depth then probably you don't have many right acts. And may not have much of a garment and stand naked!

Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Ok lets look at another wedding parable.

Matt 22:1-2 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Clearly we can see God and Christ here.

Matt 22:3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Now these are the prophets, as well as John the baptist. Who God sent and used to write the Old Testament.

Matt 22:4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Here we have Christ crucified and the Gospel starting to go out to the world.

Matt 22:5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

Too busy friend, got too much to do to study God's word, and you know I go to church every Sun and Wed and my "pastor" has laid God's plan out to me and I don't have to study on my own. FOOLISH.

Matt 22:6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

This "remnant" is the remnant of Satans children known as tares. And they did slay the apostles as well as all the prophets from Able until Christ comes.

Matt 22:7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

This was the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 ad. as the tares had taken control of that city, even before Christ!

Matt 22:8-10 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Here we are today, Everyone of every race, nation, and tongue have been invited to this wedding. Praise God!

Matt 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

Uh oh, Wedding garment? what is our garment as a Christian? The Gospel armor, of course. That is what will allow us to remain virgins. So heres one with the wrong garment on and maybe naked.?

Matt 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

See here at least, He called him a friend, think about it, God does love All His children. But He says How did you get in here with out the Gospel Armor? And He was speechless, No doubt what would you say ?

Matt 22:13-14 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Again remember these verses and understand.

Rev 20:5-6 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

At Christ's return we have the first resurrection and through the thousand years the "dead", spiritually dead will be taught. For at that time ALL shall be changed into the spiritual body on The first day of the millennium. But this first resurrection is only for those who overcome in the flesh.

Those in outer darkness will still have the possibility of walking into the lake of fire, though they be in a spiritual body their souls have not yet attained salvation. Another subject for another time. And these over comers, what are they? Priests, what do priests do? They Teach.

Well if they teach and rule with Christ who is being taught? If you go by what man teaches everyone who does not overcome the flesh is burning like bacon, where is the second death in that teaching? FOOLISH.

Matt 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Many people say "yes it will be so bad that God will be cursing mothers who are pregnant and have little children", sorry beloved that just doesn't stack up with God's word. He told us to be fruitful and multiply, and that our children are blessings from Him, Who are you going to believe? God's Word or mans? So what is it talking about? Well we as Christians are suppose to be a virgin bride, Lets let Paul explain it to us.

2 Cor 11:1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.

Her Paul is just saying let me have a little fun in my presentation of this teaching.

2 Cor 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

This word "beguiled" in the Greek is Strong's #1818 exapatao (ex-ap-at-ah'-o); from 1537 and 538; to seduce wholly: KJV-- beguile, deceive. (this is how the word is translated in the KJV) I can tell you truthfully beloved, that Eve did Not eat an "apple". There was a lot more that went on, but another study all together.

2 Cor 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

If a "church" or any man is teaching contrary to God's truth then they are "preaching another Jesus"!!!

2 Cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

Christ did tell us in the Gospels that they would come in His name. They are here today in full force and I'm not talking about Waco either.

2 Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Transformed? Could there be salvation for Satan? No way his sentence was passed in the book of Ezekiel so what is this "transformed" lets go into the Greek.

Strong's #3345 metaschematizo (met-askh-ay-mat-id'-zo); from 3326 and a derivative of 4976; to transfigure or disguise; figuratively, to apply (by accommodation): KJV-- transfer, transform (self).

This is exactly how Satan will come here to play Jesus, but he is instead of Christ, the fake Jesus, who, if we allow ourselves by being biblically illiterate through listening to man instead of studying God's word except Satans wedding invitation. we shall no more be virgins in the spiritual sense and won't have on the right garment.

2 Cor 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

No big deal, Satan has his children, and those who are proselytes with them, doing his work right in the "churches" today, and if you don't realize that fact then you do not have eyes to see nor ears to hear. And your wedding garment will not be acceptable to God.

Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Beloved there is Power in Christ, not for emotional jags at side show religion houses but real power over ALL our enemies that includes Satan himself and there is no reason to fear Satan if you have the right garment on so lets examine that garment.

Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

What is this word "wiles" in the Greek?

Strong's #3180 methodeia (meth-od-I'-ah); from a compound of 3326 and 3593 [compare "method"]; traveling over, i.e. travesty (trickery): KJV-- wile, lie in wait.

Pretty plain that he is saying you need the Whole armor of God to stand against Satan's method of deceiving people, and to do that you need the truth from God's Word and nothing else will do.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

You see the book of Revelations is not about physical death, though there is some. I is really about the spiritual death that Satan and his lies bring to the world. He will not be a Hitler type.

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Evil day? When is that? When Satan is here on earth defacto, claiming to be Christ Jesus come to bring peace and love to the world. Having done all? What are we to do so that we may obtain the right garment to stand? Study and rightly divide God's Word.

Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

This is interesting, in the days when this was written men wore skirts and they had a girt, a belt so to speak and when they had to run, or fight they had to reach down between there legs, grab that skirt and pull it up and tuck it in there belt so they were uncumbered, and free to move easily.

So we see that the truth will do the same for us, it frees us from the confusion and lies by holding us together spiritually. Breastplate of righteousness? What does a breastplate protect? Your heart, and from your heart in knowing God and His plan you keep that truth close.

Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

What are feet for? Traveling, and in our travels we must be prepared to share that Gospel of Peace with all who come to us and ask.

Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Faith is the key to using the power that Christ gave us and is our only defense. We know that "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Of course the Helmet of our Salvation is that which protects our head and thus gives us the proof that we posses eternal life, knowing, Christ through His Word. What does it come down to and what is our weapon? A sword? Yes the Word of God!

Beloved, stay in God's, for Jesus Christ is the living Word.
