REMNANT

The elect are made up of a remnant of people that God has set aside to do His work at the end of this earth age. There has always been a remnant to do His work. Sometimes a group and sometimes just one of two people.

There are basically four different roots used in the Bible that are translate "remnant". From "the rest" to "to be decived, as in a small group", "to be released from deception", etc.. These roots are mentioned 220 times in the Old Testament and are a derivative of the same prime root. Most of the so-called "rapture" scriptures in the New Testament are addressed to the remnant. It is ironic that the remnant is utilized in the rapture theory.

I went back and studied some great scholars to see what they decided about the remnant and they all agreed that there was a remnant, a small group, from the beginning through the time of the very end. They decided this was possible because at the time of God's judgement there is a small group left. Is this luck or chance? That is not a somforting thought because it is not true. Our Father is in control and He gives life and He takes it away.

At the time of Noah, there was a remnant saved of eight Adamic souls. They were a clean, pure race not mixed with the fallen angels. The truth was brought forth through the few. It has always been that way. The majority are always wrong. There are many times when God used one of few to carry through with His charge when Israel wouldn't. Deborah and David are just two examples. When God delivered Israel from Egypt by performing so many wonderful miracles, He had to let an entire generation die, with the exception of two souls before Israel could enter the promised land because of their lack of faith. They were a bunch of cowards.

His remnant today wsn't chosen because of anything special they did in this earth age. Jesus Christ chose you in the world that ws before the foundaitons of this earth. Don't confuse this with free-will salvation. In Romans 8:30 God said His saints (set-aside ones) were chosen from the world that was, and that they had been justified (judged) and found not wanting. Some may wonder how they can be elect, but God knows. You will put on that gospel armor and stand against Satan.

Where should you draw your strenght? From Almight God and the promised He has made you in His Word. Most of His message to the remnant concerns the prophesies of this end-time generation. You must never think small! Your Father made this universe with its stars, planets, life, etc. Is this a small thing? He has blinded the rest but throught His set aside ones He shall fight Satan and usher in the next world age. Let's begin in Isaiah.

ISA 60:21 Thy People also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of My panting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.

ISA 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.

This is you, beloved. In Hebrew the word "one" implies a family. The Lord will hasten it, not me, nor you! God is always in control. Not all of Israel is going to be saved in this earth age. Through the millennium the remnant shall teach them.

ISA 1:8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

This daughter is symbolic of the remnant. He will always protect her.

ISA 1:9 Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

How was Sodom & Gomorrah? God said He would destroy every living being there, and except for Lot, He did. Ninety-five percent of the churches teach rapture and their congregatons will accept anti-christ as their saviour when he comes.

If GOd had not set aside and sealed His remnant to caryy through the truth, there would not be one to stand for Him against Satan. Therefore, God will not destroy this generation completely. Though all will worsip Satan as anti-christ (excpet the remnant, there is remnant from all races) they will see God coming not to burn but to teach them.

ZEPH 3:12 I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor People, and they shall trust in the name of the Lord.

"Poor" means "humble", but humble before God, not man. You must trust in the true Christ.

ZEPH 3:13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down and none shall make them afraid.

The remnant need not be afraid of the deception of anti-christ. You can rest peacefully in Christ anywhere because you're prepared and protected.

ZEPH 3:14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.

Zeph 3:15 The Lord hath taken away the judgments, He hath cast out thine enemy; the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thous shalt not see evil any more.

Everyone shall stand for the judgment except the group in Romans 8. They have already been judged.

ZEPH 3:16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, "Fear thou not:" and in Zion, "Let not thine hands be slack".

Don't hang you head or hands. Be jubilant!

Zeph 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.

Do you know what "God in the midst of thee" is? It is "YHVH Shamman". The Shecaniah glory in th midst of the people.

ZEPH 3:18 "I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden."

This solemn assembly is called at the moment of Joel's trumpet. Only the remnant attend.

ZEPH 3:19 "Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame."

It is God's Word, not yours or mine that makes you loved.

REV 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthwuake, and the tenth part of the city wre slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

This is that seventh trump and the slain are the nephilim that die when those two witnesses stand against the anti-christ.

This earth is a Sodom and Gomorrah, and were it not for His remnant it would probably face the same fate. Never be afraid to stand alone, for that remnant is few, but it is the strongest army there every was, because their strenght is Christ. Praise God, with Christ, you are never alone.

May God bless you and your family
