The Idols of This Generation

Beloved, what is a Idol, its anything that you allow to come between you and the Father, is a Idol. Now many of you think of the golden calf of Exodus when you think of Idols or worshiping images.

But the Idols of this Generation are Cars, Houses, Gold, and Money, and anything you put above God. Now to be able to recognize this, you must remember anything you place higher then God, what ever it mat be than you are loosing your relationship with God. And now beloved, you have a Idol.

“If anyone comes to me and dose not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters, “yes” even his own life he cannot be my disciple.

Now Christ did not use the word Hate in this verse, The word Hate is translated from the Greek word “miseo” ( “mis-eh-o ), which means “To Love Less”. Christ was saying we must place God above all else.

Luke 14:27. And any-one who dose not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

Christ is telling us that we all have our problems to bear, but to a Christian we must be prepared to handle those problems. Beloved, always try to handle your problems yourself, If the problem is more than you are able to handle, than turn it over to Him which is Jesus Christ your heavenly Father. Remember he is your Father he knows everything, beloved, even your problems.

Now even as Paul wrote, When we are at our weakest, we are at our strongest. Beloved, when we turn it over to God, we have the strength of the Father, which is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Luke 14:28. Suppose one of you want’s to build a tower, Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it ?

Now the symbols meaning that Christ uses here is like building a tower to have the strength to follow Him. Beloved, muster up your faith and courage and he will strengthened you.

Now the lesson Christ is teaching us is to plan ahead. This lesson may be applied to your daily life, beloved, take a few minutes each morning to plan your day. Always have second plan in case your original plan doesn’t work out.

In other words all ways used common sense, the common sense that the Father gives us from His word, beloved, that word that teaches us to beware of Idols of this Generation.

Luke 14:29-30. For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, saying “This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.

In other words, If you don’t plan ahead, you may not be able to finish that which you stared.

Luke 14:31-32. Or suppose a King is about to go to war against another King, will he not first sit down and consider whether he is able with Ten Thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with Twenty Thousand ? If he is not able, he will send a delegation (Ambassador) while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of pace.

You see, when you plan ahead, and when you ask God to Lead, Guide and Direct, beloved you will not fail. And on a physical sense you have more time to consider the alternatives.

Luke 14:33. In the same way, any of you who dose not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.

This is not to say you must give up all your possessions to follow Christ, But beloved, it dose mean that those possessions must have a lower priority in your life, in order to follow and to serve Him. Beloved, only you can answer that question , is God first in your life or your possessions ?

Romans 1:20. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

The point here that will be made in the next verse is Worship the ceartor, and not the creation. In other words give Praise and Glory to Jesus Christ your Father, and not the things of this world.

Romams 1:21. For although they know God, they neither Glorified Him as God nor gave thank to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Now Paul is saying that they became empty in their own thoughts and traditions rather than placing God first.

You see, He is wisdom and He gives us the strength to go on. Beloved, if Jesus Christ is not first in your mind, which is the word, which is seald in your mind by Reading Chapter by Chapter and Line by Line, for without the word of God, then my friends our thoughts become Darkened.

Romans 1:22-23. Although they claimed to be wise they became fools and exchanged the Glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man, and birds and animals and reptiles.

Now this word image is translated from the Greek ( eikon )-( I-kone ), and it means ( Heathenish Thinks ) You see, when man moves away from God, he allows the Idols of this Generation to come apron him, and then we go back in to the world and let the Hheathenish Things to become a part of life and our Religion, beloved, the world IMAGE from the Greek means Heathenish Thinks.

Romans 1:24-25. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the Lust of their own heart, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creation more than the creator, who is Blessed for ever and ever aman.

So what has just been said here ? That man began to worship thinks that God Created more then the Creator Himself. Beloved, do you worship the things in this world more then your Father in heaven ?

Now listen IM not saying that material things are evil of course not, you see we need a house to keep us from bad weather, yes we need a car to take us from point A to point B, of course we need money to survive in every day life, yes we need all of these things.

But what God is saying is this, “Do not make your possessions an Idol”

Now God knows are needs and wants, and I am truly positive that if you ask from your Father in Heaven it will be given to you According to His will.

Romans 1:26-27. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way man also abandoned natural relations with women and were in flamed with lust for one another. Man committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

You see beloved, God dose not like things that are against His nature, So this point is that if you begin to worship God’s Creations more than the Creator, beloved, you are going to find your self in big trouble.

Now let’s turn to 2Corinthians Chapter 6:14, and see what our Lord’s word says there!

2Cor. 6:14. Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common ? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness ?

Now beloved, many would have you to believe this means Christians, and you shouldn’t have anything to do with these bad sinners.

Now I think Paul is saying Christians have the duty to help unbelievers, But you must be careful not to be snared or trap to the same sins that they are in. Remember always show your light, and always put God in front.

2Cor.6:15. What harmony is there between Christ and Belial ? What dose a believer have in common with an unbeliever ?

What God is saying here, I have no harmony with Satan and there will never be. You see if you are in God and God is in you , Beloved, that is harmony, because you are the temple of the living God.

2Cor.6:17-18. Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. “I will be a Father you, and you will be my sons and daughters says the Lord Almighty.

You see beloved, He is your Father, tell Him you love Him, All ways put God first in your life.

Now we all have been thought these things since you confess with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

Now I started this study by saying, “There is one Image or Idol that you must be able to recognize”

Now you might say how do I recognize it ? Beloved, by staying in God’s living word, whereby you will be seal ( in your mind ) with God’s word. Yes beloved, God’s Commandments are a must in these End Days.

Now lets see what the Old Testament has to say about that Idol, or Image.

But before we do that I have to ask you a question, has anybody ever said to you, “You don’t have to read the Old Testament or even the Book of Revelations, You don’t have to understand. All you have to do is go to Church ?. And when you go to Church that so called man of god opens the Bible and reads one or two verse and then he shuts the Bible which is the word of God, and then blows hot air for about an hour, and he talk about every other subject expect what is written in the word of God.

And some of us take that man and make an Idol out of him. And God said, “You shell have no other God’s before me.” You see beloved, we have to be disciple with God’s living word, and to be seal with His word in your mind, In stead of mans words.

And if we read Chapter by Chapter, and Verse by Verse, then your Body, Mind, and Soul will be fill with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now you might think that I am coming down on pastors and Churches, will for your information I Am Not, I am just saying that God gave us His Word, His Book, His Truth whereby we will not be deceives, and believe me I will take God’s word over mans word anyday, I just had to write that in O.K. lets go to Exodus Chapter 20:1-2. and see what it says.

Exodus 20:1-2. I Am The Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt out of the land of slavery.

Now God is speaking to Moses after the captivity has been broken, in other words God is telling them through Moses, “I the Lord your God have brong you out

Exodus 20:3-4. You shall have no other God’s before me. You shall not make for yourself an Idol in the Image of anything in Heaven above or on the Earth beneath or in the Waters below.

Now beloved, let’s stop and think about this statement for a moment, why do you think God went to this length to warn us.

God said, “Make no Image, of anything in Heaven, above or on the Earth, Beneath or in the waters.

You see, God was writing to the generation, in Moses time, and to this generation, meaning the time we are in now. You see, we are not talking about some little Image cut out of wood, a little wooden Image is not what we must be concerned white in this Generation.

Beloved, this is the generation of the fig tree, as it is written in the Book of Matthew 24:32, were Jesus said Learn this Parable, not when you have time,or when you get around to it, “He said Learn it:, and the Book Revelation 12:7, were Michael will cast out Satan and his angels out of Heaven onto this earth.

And there will be a Supernatural being in this earth that will make the One World System Functional. Beloved, this supematural being is the Idol you must be able to recognize.

Now for some reason you don’t understand what you have just read, and if it doesn’t make any sense, you have batter wake up and start getting into your Fathers Word or some one might say, will I don’t believe what I just heard, you see, its not our word ,its God word.

Revelation 13:11. And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, And he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Beloved, this supernatural being looked like the Lamb of God, but he spoke as the Devil.

Revelation 13:12. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf. And made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.

Now the first beast is the One World Order. This being makes the One World System work. It will seem wonderful, all of your debts will be paid , it will be the greatest revival that man has ever seen, people will bow down to worship him, but there is one thing wrong with this, remember God said in Exodus that we are to worship Him, and nothing else.

Beloved, do you understand ? Can you see it now ? , Beloved, Satan comes first he is that Idol, he is that Heathenish thing. He will bring in a flood of lies, ( Rev. 13:15 ), so that you will believed he is Jesus, Remember he is supernatural and he comes with signs and wonders, 2Thessalonians 2:1-11.

Revelation 13:13. And he performed great and miraculous sings, even casing fire to come down from Heaven to Earth in full view of men.

Revelation 13:14. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, He deceived the inhabitants if the earth. he ordered them to set up an Image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

Now beloved, this is the reason that God went to such length in Exodus 20:4, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven Image, or any likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above, or that is in the Earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the Earth.

You see, God, knows that you, especially in this generation of the fig tree, would need His instruction. Beloved, ,its the only word that will save your soul, He told us what is going to happen in His living word.

In Mark 13:22. he told even the Elect, If possible, would be deceived by a false Christ.

Paul wrote in 2Corinthians 11:14 Satan Himself will be transformed into an angel of light.

Beloved, Satan will return to earth before Christ. Paul made it clear.

All the Apostles made it clear, if you will only take the time to study God’s word.

Beloved, this is how you put Him first in your life.

Beloved, listen to your Father, or be deceived.

Don’t take this or any other mans word check it out for yourself by reading the Fathers Word.

Now I don’t care what Miracles that the Antichrist will be able to perform, You have nothing to fear, If you place Jesus Christ first. Beloved, you are the temple of God, you and Him will make a Majority.
