I want to talk to you about law versus grace. That’s not really a fair statement, but I’m going to make it anyway and when we’re finished you’ll understand what I’m talking about.
Christians go around saying, “Are you saved?” Many will say, “Oh yes, I am saved.” I have somewhat against “sloganism”. I’m gonna call it that, various denominations, various churches and various people take up slogans, i.e. “Once saved always saved”, and they really don’t understand what salvation is. When you study the language it’s good that you stop when you hear a slogan, rather than making a religion out of it, understand the value of the word that Christ used.
Let’s define salvation so that Christians really know what we’re talking about. Salvation means to be saved, therefore there must be a Savior involved. But what are you saved from? Let’s get things in perspective here. “Well, we’re saved from the wrath of God.”
Well then when does the wrath of God take place I would ask you? “At the end of this earth age.” Well then I would ask you again, “When does salvation de facto, “de facto” means after the fact, after it’s happened, when are you saved?”Of course many Christians with their “sloganism” are going to say, “Aw dear brother, I’m saved right now.”
No, you have the promise of it and if you believe, your as good as saved. But salvation from the wrath of God, after the fact will not take place until the end of this earth age. Let me qualify that, this dispensation, that is to say before the Millennium and it won’t take place for many until after the Millennium because they’re not gonna make it all the way.
In other words, the final judgment as to salvation, will take place at the Great White Throne Judgment which is not until the end of the Millennium. Then at that time you’ll know whether your saved or not.
“Aw brother, I’m in the Lord.” Oh you are? That’s wonderful I’m proud for you, happy of you. That’s great it just hasn’t taken place yet. But you do have that promise and he guarantees and that’s good enough for all us Christians but at least let’s realize what we’re talking about.
What is entailed in salvation? Salvation is brought forth very simply in John 3:16, I quote “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever should BELIEVE on Him shall not perish...” Did it say SAVED on Him? No, BELIEVE on Him.
What does perish mean? Turned to ashes. That means their going to be saved from being turned to ashes. The “ash” part does not take place until the end of the Millennium. So, probably better said, “We are in the process of being saved, after the fact, then we are saved.” “Well what does this have anything to do with anything?” To cause you to open your mind up a little bit and perhaps better understand judgment for one thing.
We’re going to be talking about three or four things. We’re going to be talking about salvation, redemption, sin, repenting. How do these all fit? The law, transgression of the law, and we have some that like to throw this term around, “Well there nothing but a legalist!” “Sloganism.”
Little slogans and labels they put out. I wonder what they would have called Christ? What they would call Him today if He were walking and teaching the Gospel again, because their “sloganism” seems to derive more attention within their groups. Even though that slogan is not quoted in God’s Word necessarily. “Aw yes dear brother it is!” Show me. A lot of your slogans ARE NOT IN THE WORD OF GOD. You’ve been passed off and handed material and you’ve repeated it so many times within your church, that you call it “gospel” many times.
All these things I listed are precious and good, but you must keep everything in it’s priority. That is to say it’s weight and the weight it has to do with your salvation in good standing.
Law versus grace. Well the law isn’t really to be considered instead of grace, wasn’t intended that way at all. But it does make a good title does it not? So, we begin then by just throwing things out of gear and listening to the Word of God for a little bit. Whereby you can better understand repentance, sin, transgression, what the law has to do with this and that all important grace, which means unmerited favor. That means you don’t deserve it but God count you perfect upon repentance.
Let’s talk about repentance. Unfortunately probably one of the most dangerous teachings is that you no longer need to repent after salvation because “Once saved always saved”. That’s not a complete statement. You can move your little ‘ol church pew back and back and back so far away from the Savior that it’s just tilting right on the edge of the ABYSS and you are going to be ashamed.
There are different degrees as we learn in Ezekiel 44 as to positions and blessings in the Millennium. Some aren’t going to have much, some are not going to make until the end of the Millennium. So it's time for a Christian to begin to take our Father's Word seriously and begin to mature in it rather than listen to slogans, which are none other than traditions of men, for if you do not have the full Word you don't have the Word of God you have the word of men.
I want to take this up and were going to discuss law a little bit. What is law? Is law bad? Well, let's the Word tell you whether or not the law is bad. Did Christ do away with it? We're going to Paul's writings Romans Chapter 3, and let's just pick a place, verse 19. Let's pick it up there and go with it. We ask a word of wisdom from our Father in Yashua's Name, Amen.
Rom 3:19
19 Now we know that
what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the
law:
that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty
before
God.
Them that are under the law, particularly Israel. You see it is the law that let's us know we are guilty of a sin when we commit one, for the law quite simply labels the sin. I would say that you might get a good look at the law simply by saying it does label your sin. It makes you aware.
Rom 3:20
20 Therefore by the
deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by
the law is the knowledge of sin.
What does this mean? By the law and through the law, the flesh itself, the mortal man, cannot be found just in God's sight. Why? We always fall short. Flesh is sin. This is where the big difference of "Once saved always saved", they're still in the flesh, they still sin.
Every sin you have not repented for my friend your going to answer to whether your saved or not, and that can be an embarrassment. Where as if you repent, meaning truly from the heart, God doesn't want to hear about it anymore. So you need to mature.
Some of those cry "grace-baptism" this that and the other, milk, milk, milk until they have need of a teacher to be taught again, even the church itself. They take their eyes off the mark.
Think of the law as a scoreboard if you like. It lets you know when you sin. Then I would ask you, "Is the law bad?" Well, if you wanna sin and sin in ignorance I suppose we might call the law bad. Where you going? Hell. That's not good friend. So we better look a little further.
Rom 3:21
21 But now the
righteousness
of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and
the
prophets;
In other words the righteousness of God shows us a new way concerning the law. The Old Testament and the prophets therein told us over and over there would be a new way. That God would send a Savior. That the new covenant would come into being and so it has, and praise God for it.
Rom 3:22
22 Even the
righteousness
of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them
that
believe: for there is no difference:
There is a qualifier here: BELIEVE. Believing and having faith in the Son of God and righteousness gives you a ticket, perhaps a bad choice of words, into the kingdom of the living God. There's a very special reason for that being necessary because of the next verse.
Rom 3:23
23 For all have
sinned,
and come short of the glory of God;
Every last one of you is a sinner, the same as this man, me, is a sinner.
I was talking about some business along the way visiting, and I mentioned something about "all being sinners". One of these people that belonged to a good friend of mine, so I can feel safe in saying this, that belongs to a local denomination that have their little slogans, said, "Don't you call me a sinner!" If you have believed "sloganism" to the point that you think you don't sin, when you sin everyday, your a dreamer.
Christ didn't promise that, He makes very plain right here. You are a sinner and we all fall short. You better thank God for His grace, for His unmerited favor. At the same time you better know what makes it possible.
Rom 3:24
24 Being justified
freely
by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Where do you find redemption? When you repent and become worthy. Repent of all your sins and believe upon Him and you are worthy. It's made possible we just read a few verses ago.
It's there for anyone. Those under the and those out from the law: which means those of Israel or Gentiles, it doesn't matter. It's made available by His redeeming what? Blood.
Rom 3:25
25 Whom God hath set
forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his
righteousness
for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Faith in His what? Blood. What is blood? Blood is what runs through the veins of one that tabernacles in the flesh. Meaning, believing that Christ; the Anointed; Yashua; lived as man and having faith in His blood that He shed. It is for the remission of sins in the past, NOT FUTURE. There is not one way in this world that you can repent of the sins you will commit tomorrow.
That would be forgery and a fakery to even claim you could repent in that condition. God then takes that law and He nails it to the cross for you, the cross that that shed blood ran down. When you believe upon that blood, it nails that law for you, UPON, I repeat, UPON repentance not until. You'll die if you don't repent. You'll be charged if you don't repent of your sins.
It would seem to me through "sloganism" that people fell that that's all they have do is repent at the time of their so-called salvation, and it doesn't matter how much they sin after that they fell they're free and clear. That's not true. It is not true at all and it's a fake pastor that would tell you such nonsense, and he's leading you to the pits of hell, if that was possible. It is not, if you love the Lord and believe in Him it is true you are saved.
But you're going to be naked as a jaybird, standing before the whole world at judgment rather than being dressed in righteous garments. Now the choice is yours and there is a big difference believe me. Do righteous acts get you to heaven? No, they simply give you honor and reward after you get there.
There is a difference a big difference. But little slogans for the simple, those that the Church is afraid they won't understand if they tell them the whole picture. It might frighten them and they will leave their church and stop giving or coming there for the reputation of the so-called slogan church.
May we always be into our Father's Word that we know whether some slogan has led us and taken our lazy beings trying to find the easy way out rather than looking at the truth, whereby you can be in good standing with your Father who sent this letter (the Bible) not to your church only, but to you. It is not your church that will be judged by this letter necessarily, the letter is written to man, that means you as an individual, will be judged by.
Rom 3:26
26 To declare, I
say,
at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the
justifier
of him which believeth in Jesus.
There's another qualification. Does it say those saved in Jesus? No, those that BELIEVE in Jesus, that have faith in Him and faith in that blood that it does forgive sin. If it did not why would you take the trouble to repent even though "sloganism" perhaps has you blindly following, wallowing in sin, thinking that you don't have to say, "Father, help me to do better."
Rom 3:27
27 Where is boasting
then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of
faith.
Where is this boasting on how you earn salvation? That's the subject. Faith in what? Believing on Christ Jesus. In other words, believing on His blood and on repentance being forgiven for that.
Rom 3:28
28 Therefore we
conclude
that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
That is to say, as long as he's in Christ. You go to peddling it on your own friend and not repenting of your sins, and tell me how you think your going to be justified. Even in faith you might make it through the door, scarcely, but your not going to have a lot to be proud of after you get there. Never heard it taught in that light? Stick around friend.
Rom 3:29-30
29 Is he the God of
the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles
also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith,
and uncircumcision through faith.
No more of the flesh, that is to say, in the male being circumcised. But circumcision of the heart through faith, which means both sexes must have that same circumcision and uncircumcision through faith. He treats the same, whether it's of Israel or whether it's a Gentile through faith in Christ Jesus.
Rom 3:31
31 Do we then make
void
the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
In other words the law and in obeying can bring you righteous acts. Now I"m not talking about making you some self-righteous hypocrite, I don't think anyone dislikes a self-righteous hypocrite anymore than I do, but knowing to the full knowledge and facing reality that we're sinners. We must and do believe on Jesus Christ, but repenting for sins and repenting of sins.
With those forgiven it enables you to have a better walk with Him. So many people will say, "God doesn't hear my prayers anymore, just seems like I'm disconnected with God." Well, let me ask you a question. How long has it been since you repented friend? How many sins have you tallied up that you haven't repented for? When is the last time you just sat down and had a good long heart to heart with Almighty God?
How many times have you spent time in His Word? Rather than listening to "one verse charlie's" and slogans by church systems, which is nothing but a piece of paper. God will not judge that piece of paper, but judge you.
Faith establishes the law. What law? The law that makes us aware of sin, whereby when we commit sin we know we should repent. Therefore being justified by the blood of Christ and in good standing with Almighty God and in position to receive His blessings.
Otherwise, forget it friend, your not going to receive His blessings. For you have listened to slogans. Slogans of "Once saved always saved". Is there anything wrong with that statement? No, if you use your mind and go into the Word to see perhaps what it really means. I could even restate it for you and add on to your little slogan, "Once saved always saved, but in tattered rags and almost naked.
Because I don't have any righteous acts, I haven't tried to serve God, I don't support any work, I don't do anything for God. I'm taking advantage of Him maybe, because I'm going to claim salvation". Who do you think God blesses? Someone in that standing? Or someone that humbly comes before Him and says, "Father, help me a sinner.
I try and it seems the harder I try the more I mess up. But I do try Lord, forgive me my sins and help me try again." He'll do it and not only will He do that He'll bring enough blessings to you that the blessings themselves will take away a lot of the sin. Let me rephrase that. The desire or reason for sin. Let's go to Romans Chapter 7.
Rom 7:7
7 What shall we say
then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the
law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not
covet.
It was the law that made Paul aware of that.
Rom 7:8-9
8 But sin, taking
occasion
by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For
without
the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when
the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
The flesh man died. We're speaking in a spiritual sense. He turned into a spiritual being the best he could.
Rom 7:10
10 And the
commandment,
which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
If Paul hadn't repented and changed his ways as far as eternal life was concerned he was doomed.
Rom 7:11
11 For sin, taking
occasion
by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Let me ask you a question. When is sin better, after you've been saved or before? I say to you there is no difference, sin is sin. Sin in ignorance you won't be judged for, but after you know better and you sin, just because your saved does not mean you don't need repentance. Because your not claiming the gift of God if you don't repent.
Rom 7:12
12 Wherefore the law
is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
The law is holy and don't you ever let someone tell you different. You put that down in your mind and don't you ever forget it. The law of Almighty God is holy and you better be careful when you start kickin' at it. Anything that keeps you out of trouble is just and it's good. It's sin that's bad, the law is good.
Rom 7:13-14
13 Was then that
which
is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear
sin,
working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment
might become exceeding sinful. 14
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
We're flesh. The law is holy and it is spiritual. But flesh is sinful, sorry, it cries out at the littlest discomfort, controls you, controls me. In that respect as long as your in the flesh your going to continue to sin in some form, whether it be the health laws or the law itself.
You must understand the only things that are totally destroyed are the blood sacrifices, for it is blasphemy to say any of those would still be in existence. That is to say offering things in sacrifice with blood. You sacrifice now by giving your love to your Father and His Gospel.
So, let's stop and just think a moment. Is the law bad? Well, how could something holy be bad? It's there, the only thing is, it gives a lot of people a guilty conscience. They're not mature enough in Christianity to face reality, to know that when this sinful flesh falls short that you can be mature enough to admit it to yourself and to God and get up and go again. The law is good. God gave the law so that we would not all be heathen.
What is the law? Again it simply labels your sins and/or gives us a set of regulations whereby we can live peacefully and healthy if we maintain the law. Can we? No, it's impossible. But at least as long as your going to be Christian and try, you must study both the law, that is that that still pertains as well as the Gospel which strengthens your faith and belief that activates forgiveness through redemption and brings you the blessings of God today, otherwise don't expect His blessings.
So help me, if you listen to the certain slogans of men and say, "Once saved always saved, I can do whatever I want to." That's really not what their saying, but unfortunately the unlearned, if that slogan is repeated enough, man begins to believe that is all that is necessary. Christianity suffers a great loss when maturity does not come to it.
As it staggers on hundreds of years old as a bottle sucking baby still in a baby buggy being pushed around by caretakers that are very questionable. Whether than learning of our Father's Word and standing up and facing reality recognizing the full significance of unmerited favor for none of us merit it, but to at least be man or woman enough to be able to say, "Father I was wrong forgive me" and in repentance receive His blessing that help you maintain at least a life with quality that you can live with.
These are very important to you Beloved. It has to do with having your prayers answered by pleasing God and if you don't have His forgiveness as you forgive others, forget it your wasting your time. Slogans many times, the sayings of men, rob us from that close fellowship that we need with the faith we have in the blood that ran down that cross for you, forgetting perhaps the seriousnessof it.
Our salvation takes place when the wrath of God comes to pass, for we saved from that wrath and that's what salvation means. As long as your in the flesh you need help. These things indeed placed here by God. Faith and belief in Jesus Christ establish the law. Really what He's saying is it establishes us in it, though we miss the mark so far I don't suppose it can be put in words. It would be a mockery to try to say we live by the law. But that blood that came down the cross makes it so in His eyes.
Rom 7:15
15 For that which I
do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that
do I.
What Paul is saying here is, "I don't act as I desire to act on the contrary I do what I despise. Sometimes I get so aggravated at myself I could despise myself I knew my intentions were good but I just messed up." Have you ever had that happen to you? Don't tell me he hasn't. I know it has, it happens to everyone.
Rom 7:16-17
16 If then I do that
which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Paul saying, "It's seems like I can't understand myself even." So you wanna watch self.
Rom 7:18
18 For I know that
in
me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is
present
with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Paul saying, "But the power to do right just isn't in me." What Paul is leading up to here is that our flesh bodies if we totally allow it to rule we're worthless. There's not one good thing in the flesh body. We might say, "Well it's God's beautiful creation." But as far as being just there's not one good thing, I speak in a moral sense or I'll even speak in a spiritual sense. Without Christ you're nothing.
Rom 7:19
19 For the good that
I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Paul saying, "It seems to be against my wishes what the flesh does."
Rom 7:20
20 Now if I do that
I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Sin is still there.
Rom 7:21
21 I find then a
law,
that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Paul tries to do right but wrong is all he seems to do. Ever have that feeling? Then don't feel lonesome. When you get that feeling remember repentance, ask for help.
Rom 7:22
22 For I delight in
the law of God after the inward man:
After the new self comes into being in Christ I strive and I delight in myself when I can please God.
Rom 7:23
23 But I see another
law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me
into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
The two are always there. There's a war going on in your own body. If God could only find that place that in serving Him we grow to a knowledge through working in His Word how small we really are. Will we ever be perfect? No. Will we try to be? Doesn't hurt a bit it's good to try. But our Father knows us well, It was He that created these bodies.
Rom 7:24
24 O wretched man
that
I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I can tell you who, Jesus Christ.
Rom 7:25
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So
then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh
the
law of sin.
You can look at this two ways. You can make life very dull and boring or you can have the faith and belief in Christ to know the victor will br the mind. Will the flesh mess up some? Yes it sure will, but you with confidence and strength though it does mess up you can know serving Him that we've got the victory. He knows it, and I say thank Him for it, He's precious.
Let's go on a couple of verses into the next chapter for a very special reason. The "once saved always saved" without anything added to on your part which gives you a spiritual slob, misunderstands these following verses.
Rom 8:1
1 There is therefore
now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not
after
the flesh, but after the Spirit.
There's no doom for them. They're not going to perish that part is true. First of all there is a qualification, the word "in", those that are IN Christ Jesus. I wish I could walk after the Spirit 24 hrs. a day.
But unfortunately in everyday life as your are even serving Him, the 'ol flesh comes into being, because that's your domicile friend that's your tabernacle. The thing you want to try to do is not follow it. War with it if you like sometimes it can make life pretty interesting, makes a pretty good battle because we know Who has the victory.
Rom 8:2
2 For the law of the
Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin
and
death.
Not free as though it doesn't exist, it exists. But one as fore stated that is in and walks continually and full-time after Christ Jesus and not after the flesh can make that claim. But again you can go so far in the other direction that you become a legalist in a slothful sense. That is to say, you have become a legalist that you totally depend legally on the saving blood of Christ, giving you the liberty and license to do whatever you want to and that's not what it means.
For one very simple reason, if the first time you mess up, you slip out from that protection of justification just as quickly as though you were under the law. Many will dispute that, that's fine let them. I will qualify it by verse 1, your no longer in Christ your following the flesh. What brings you back in good standing is repentance.
Rom 8:3
3 For what the law
could
not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son
in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the
flesh:
Anytime you can walk in the spirit 24 hrs. a day and not let your mind wander, your in good shape. But as Paul said, "what I always set out to do is to follow Christ 100%, I always seem to fall short." Paul has to repent when he falls short and in Christ it becomes perfect.
Let's go to Luke and talk about repentance.
Luke 13:1-3
1 There were present
at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate
had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Things happen and to connect calamity with sin is man's best cop-out. What is Christ really saying here? Don't worry about this chunk flesh, worry about your soul. That's what Jesus is concerned with, the inner man, the man that wars against the flesh.
Luke 13:4-5
4 Or those eighteen,
upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they
were
sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
This is not only for the unbeliever to repent from his worldly ways, but for the believer as well. Your flesh needs repentance over and over again.
Luke 17:3-4
3 Take heed to
yourselves:
If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent,
forgive
him.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Rebuke and tell him to get his act together. If he asks for forgiveness and repents, then forgive him.
Not to digress, but the subject is repentance. If you do a sin repent of that sin.
"Well if your Christian you don't need to repent." Then I would tell you, in the second and third chapters of Revelation, there is a letter to churches or church types today. Two of those churches were complimented by Jesus Christ, they were not told to repent. Five Christian Churches out of the seven Jesus told them, "You better repent!"
Why? They missed the mark, thinking they were doing right following slogans and the ways of men, were totally off the scale of God's justification. Five of those churches were told to repent or face the consequences. The remaining two churches had one thing in common; they taught who the son's of Cain were that claim to be of our brother Judah, who are in fact the synagogue of Satan.
Yet man must come up with his little slogans rather than looking at the whole Word and picking an equal balance on the spectrum from a self-righteous hypocrite to a spiritual sluff-off. God's not happy with a lazy Christian who finds the easy way out.
1 Pet 4:17
17 For the time is
come
that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at
us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
"What!" Yes, judgment starts at the house of God. Those five churches in Rev. 2 and 3 are going to be judged and were told to repent. Now are you intelligent enough to get into a church that teach what the two that are right teach or do you want to continue to displeasing God. Judgment will start at the house of God with those who claim to be God's own, even God's Elect.
1 Pet 4:18
18 And if the
righteous
scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
If those that repented scarcely make it, where does that leave the rest?
1 Pet 4:19
19 Wherefore let
them
that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their
souls
to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
Trust Him and have faith enough in Him to know that if you trust your soul to Him, with this war in the flesh, though you slip and fall He will pull you to Him.
"The law doesn't exist" is a slogan "once saved always saved" is another. What about repentance? That's an oversimplification. Though many of these statements is true in one aspect, the overall picture loses the unlearned and hold them vulnerable to Satan.
What about law? Let's go to the first epistle of John.
I Jn 3:4
4 Whosoever
committeth
sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
What is sin again? Transgression of the law. "But the law doesn't exist." Oh, who told you that, you didn't read it from God's Word. Again putting it in perspective in as much as you commit your soul to God in well-doing, standing under unmerited favor, you don't merit it and I don't either, upon repentance we are forgiven. It's as though we had a clean slate.
So next time you hear, "Well grace is a beautiful thing", that's right it sure is, "Because of grace I don't have to worry about what I do", you're wrong friend there's still the law. "The law doesn't exist, all I have to do is repent of sin", now wait. What do you repent of? Sin. What is sin? Transgression of the law, you know that. "But you said the law doesn't exist".
You see they're very confused, because they take things out of perspective by little slogans and sayings to draw people into their little house of God. It's a very small church when it takes just one part of salvation, which will not come to pass until you are saved from the wrath of God and de-facto does not happen until the wrath of God brought forth on the world and you are saved from it.
It takes all these things to make you a mentally and spiritually solid citizen in God's Word. Be mature enough that when you do wrong, you repent for it.
Our Father is no different than a father of a household. God has a law and so does the father of a household. When a child does wrong, the child will be corrected. Do you let your children run around untamed and bratty? I hope not, then why do you think God is any different. When that child comes to and says he/she is sorry you take that child to you in your arms.
Don't ever take away from my Father's law of the house and when you do you repent of it and He will show you unmerited favor. You see it takes a little of all of it.
Let us mature. If any man tries to teach you otherwise TURN HIM OFF. He's a fake has no understanding of the love of our Father and the balance of common sense that He expects us to maintain in our homes, whereby we can have peace of mind.
