Genesis Chapters 1-6

The Book of Genesis and the Book or Revelation have a lot in common. In Genesis we are first told of Satan's fall, and in Revelations 12, we see where that fall happened... That he led a 3rd of God's children astray.

In Genesis we see the flood of Noah, where God poured water on the surface of the earth to destroy the mixing of angels with women. In Revelations 12, Satan pours a flood on the earth, but it's a flood of lies and deception.

This happens when he is cast down to this earth. In Genesis the Tree of Life is taken away, in Revelations this Tree of Life is returned to those that will be in the 3rd earth age (eternity). There's a lot more to this, but the topic here is to be Genesis.

Unless you have a proper understanding of the first six chapters of Genesis, especially those first six, there is NO WAY YOU ARE GOING TO UNDERSTAND A LARGE PART OF THE BIBLE. It really runs alongside with the Lord's teachings on the planting of the seed, because it is here that this seed is planted.

Matthew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Here the Lord is saying these things were hidden from the foundation of this earth. This verb "foundation" is from (2598. kataballo, kat-ab-al'lo; from G2596 and G906; to throw down:--cast down, descend, fall (down). This is to say when Satan, deceived a 3rd of God's children and God threw down Satan destroyed that earth age that was.

It is sad that so many teachers and ministers will pick up the Word of God and say that this the Bible declares that God's Word says the earth is about 6,000 year old. It's amazing that some of these claim to be scholars yet either can't or don't pay any attention to the manuscripts or don't have access to the Massorotic footnotes that were with the manuscripts. This is why the "fruit" that many of them bear documents this failure. What happened to the scholars? Who knows, but for sure there are not many out there today.

The point here is, however, that if you will just get it right from the opening, you should have not too much trouble with the Scripture the rest of the way through.

What about the name, Genesis? It's not Hebrew. It's the title picked up from the Septuagint, a Greek rendition of the Torah. Genesis in Greek means generations or creation. The beginning.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Now stop right there! Stop! There are two bodies mentioned: heaven and earth -- THAT'S IT. STOP THERE. Note that it doesn't say "when." Does not say "when" at all.

Go to Proverbs 8. Here Wisdom is speaking. Wisdom was with God "BEFORE" the first stone was laid in this earth.

Proverbs 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. What is this "of old?" It is the first earth age spoken of in Revelation 12.

Proverbs 8: 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. Note this is "before" the earth ever was. Proverbs 8: 24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: 26. While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: 28. When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29. When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: 30. Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; 31. Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

Here we have a peek at how things were before and probably shortly after the creation of the earth.

Genesis1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Here is where a great deal of confusion has evolved. The Hebrew for "was" is (1961. hayah, haw-yaw'; a prim. root [comp. H1933]; to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary):

This word is almost always translated at "became" in the O.T. Furthermore, the Hebrew for "without form "is (8414. tohuw, to'-hoo; from an unused root mean. to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), i.e. desert; fig. a worthless thing; adv. in vain:--confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.

This means totally destroyed. While it is not a popular teaching in so many mainline churches, there indeed was an entire earth age between verses 1 & 2. Peter spoke of this, Jeremiah spoke of it, Proverbs tell of it, etc.

Ezekiel chapter 28 speaks of the first earth age, where Tyre (which means rock--the false rock-- Satan) walked up and down on that Golden altar, touching the very fires from the altar of the living God before his fall. He was one of the two Cherubim's that stood by the altar of God. So there is nothing new about this, it's just that many people don't study God's Word. Anyway, the earth "became" totally and completely destroyed (tohow)

Isaiah 45: 18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

You see that "not in vain" comment? That word is also Tohow, the same as in Genesis 1:2. God created the earth NOT IN TOHOW... not in destruction. God formed it to be inhabited. So then why did it become tohow? Because in Revelations 12, the first 4 verses tell us of the fall of that age when Satan managed to cause a third of God's children to fall with him.

Go to 2 Peter 3, vs 5. Here Peter is talking about the end of the present earth age.

2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6. Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

That word "perished" in the Greek is (622. apollumi, ap-ol'-loo-mee; from G575 and the base of G3639; to destroy fully (reflex. to perish, or lose), lit. or fig.:--destroy, die, lose, mar, perish. This destruction "of old" was complete! There wasn't some man floating around in an ark. with his wife, his sons and a bunch of animals. Everything perished.. This Greek word just doesn't allow for anything else.

Sure some argue that this was the Noahic flood, but then you are going to have to figure out how long it took for an olive branch to grow. Noah's flood was less than a year (before the waters subside). You can go ahead and spiritualize that olive branch's availabilty, etc., but that's the only way you can get around that olive branch being there for the dove to find. Point is here you have a marked difference between Noah's flood and the flood spoken by Peter..

2 Peter 3: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It is and was not God's will that any soul should perish, even Satan. You don't believe that then read Ezekiel 28, when before his fall God loved him so he made him the crowning Cherub However, this does not mean that God will not bring about this perishing of a soul. This is the individual's decision, not God's.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

That sounds scary, but check out the Greek for the word "elements" (4747. stoicheion, stoy-khi'-on; neut. of a presumed der. of the base of G4748; something orderly in arrangement, i.e. (by impl.) a serial (basal, fundamental, initial) constituent (lit.), proposition (fig.):--element, principle, rudiment.) It's rudiments, all evil spirits and all evil men will be destroyed.

As for the melting and the burning it should be remembered that God is the all-consuming fire and this means that Satan and his followers will be put into the lake of fire and that's it. It's over...done. After this God will bring in the 3rd earth/heaven age--eternity. It's fascinating to note that both heaven and earth in the 3rd and final age will be here (earth itself) as God dwells with us.

Want more evidence? Jeremiah 4: 22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 23. I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

24. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

Now stop here and note that there was "no man" (no Noah) and no birds (ravens or doves) and yet there are "cities"?! (now totally destroyed) This can't be the Noahic flood. This is a previous earth age, and at that time God did indeed destroy "all" life. This was a previous earth age.

Jeremiah 4:27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. That's exactly right. God did not make a full end, but He did make the earth "become" void and desolate as in Genesis 1:2

So, it can be seen that there was an age before this one, and although it is not known how long ago this age was, it is very possible this earth is millions of years old. Now if some of this is difficult to understand, or goes against much of what you have been taught, then you are asked to study further and keep an open mind.

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 6. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Now notice that God spoke and "moved" the waters and the land. He did not create it. It was already there.

Genesis 1: 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 11. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Later on we will show that what God is doing here is "rejuvenating" the earth, "replenishing" it.

Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

What did God say here? He is separating the day from the night.

Genesis 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Is it merely an accident that in Biblical numerics the number four symbolizes the earth? Everything about the earth is divided into 4. The 4 quarters, 4 seasons, 4 points of the compass... on it goes.

God's Word and His plan is really so simple, but you've got to take the time to study and learn from His Word.

Genesis 1: 20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Genesis 1: 24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Now we come to "man." It says man is being made into "our image." What does that mean? It means that you're going to be made to look like our Father. The word in the Hebrew is (6754. tselem, tseh'-lem; from an unused root mean. to shade; a phantom, i.e. (fig.) illusion, resemblance; hence a representative figure, espec. an idol:--image, vain shew. and 823. demuwth, dem-ooth'; from H1819; resemblance; concr. model, shape; adv. like:--fashion, like (-ness, as), manner, similitude. for "image" and "likeness" respectively).

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Here we have a story! What is this? This is the 6th day and we have men and women in human form.

Genesis 1: 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Read the above verse carefully... God is telling "them" (male and female) to "replenish" the earth. This word in Hebrew is (4390. male', maw-lay'; or mala' (Esth. 7 : 5), maw-law'; a prim. root, to fill or (intrans.) be full of, in a wide application (lit. and fig.):--accomplish, confirm, + consecrate, be at an end, be expired, be fenced, fill, fulfil, (be, become, X draw, give in, go) fully (-ly, -ly set, tale), [over-] flow, fulness, furnish, gather (selves, together), presume, replenish, satisfy, set, space, take a [hand-] full, + have wholly.)

It's important here to point out that you can only "replenish" something that was already once there. To Replenish the earth means it was there before and, as implied, was probably also fruitful before them...

There must have been another earth age because in the Bible man is told to "replenish" the earth. This is one sure of the way of knowing that this is not the first time, that it was populated before; because when you are told to replenish the earth with children, then you can know there were children there before (this we also found was so in Jeremiah, chapter 4). There was no indication of "birth" as far as this is concerned, but "man" walked the earth.

It's important to say again before proceeding that a proper understanding of the first 6 chapters of Genesis is so very essential. The Lord Jesus Christ, when explaining the parable of the sower and the seed said that if you did not understand that parable you would not understand any of the rest of them. It is here in Genesis, at the creation, where all that "sowing" took place. This is where the "tares" entered God's garden.

On the 6th day, after having created man and the animals (Note that God created the animals FIRST), and then created man (this, as we will see later, is very important!). The word for created here is (1254. bara', baw-raw'; a prim. root; (absol.) to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood), select, feed (as formative processes):--choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat)).

Be prepared, because what follows seems to upset many people--but ONLY because they have not studied carefully before: from what the Bible indicates there was another man ("the" Adam) created on the 8th day.

Stop right there! I am not saying God (or myself) is a white supremist! Actually, the word for man in both cases is (120. 'adam, aw-dawm'; from H119; ruddy, i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.):--X another, + hypocrite, + common sort, X low, man (mean, of low degree), person).

I know that some have attempted to take the 8th day creation and make a "racial" issue of it. But that dog "won't hunt" because the Scripture is clear that God found "all" of His creation to be "good". Chances are (and this is, admittedly a supposition on my part) that it was here (the 6th day) that God probably created ALL the races and as far as He was concerned it ALL was "good.".

But that there was a special purpose for this 8th day man becomes clear -- the birth line from whence God had determined would be born the Saviour, our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

The word "host" is (6635. tsaba', tsaw-baw'; or (fem.) tseba'ah, tseb-aw-aw'; from H6633; a mass of persons (or fig. things), espec. reg. organized for war (an army); by impl. a campaign, lit. or fig. (spec. hardship, worship):--appointed time, (+) army, (+) battle, company, host, service, soldiers, waiting upon, war (-fare).

Now take a careful look at this word. Here we have a "host", a mass of persons... waiting... Waiting upon what? It is quite probable that they were waiting to pass through this earth age... A part of God's plan to see who would choose light and who would choose darkness (possibly the souls of them having been already created before the flesh body).

This sound very strange to you? Well remember in Revelations where the Scripture tells us that Satan pull down a 3rd of God's children with him. Who were these "stars"?

Job 38: 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6. Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

These "sons of God" are probably that "host."

Genesis 2: 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

4. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, 5. And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

It's clear here that although man was created God is telling us there was none to "till the ground."

Genesis 2: 6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

There are several glaring distinctions here from the 6th day creation of mankind. For on thing, this man was not "created" ("bara") but "formed" from the ground. The word in Hebrew is (3335. yatsar, yaw-tsar'; prob. identical with H3334 (through the squeezing into shape); ([comp. H3331]), to mould into a form; espec. as a potter; fig. to determine (i.e. form a resolution):-- X earthen, fashion, form, frame, make (-r), potter, purpose).

This man is also identified as "eth ha-adamah". "The man Adam." It is "the" man in which the Lord shall come forth. This is the first "ha-adam."

Paul even distinguishes "this" Adam as being the first one, through whom death came, and the Lord being the second Adam, through whom life eternal (salvation) would come (1 Corinthians 15:).

Genesis 2: 8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

This is not the same creation as that of the 6th day, and it's apparent that this is a special place that God made for "ha-adam" ("the" man Adam). The Hebrew here is clear, being used to designate one specific person.

So often the question is asked "who was Cain's wife.?" Then, wrongfully, many do some Biblical gymnastics in an attempt to answer the question. But there's no great mystery here--Cain's wife was one of the sixth day creation people. It is clear that God has an overall saving plan, and "the man" and that garden were very much a part of that plan.

As you read on, notice how often the Scripture now refers to this person as "the" man.

Genesis 2: 9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Although we will not go into it here, there is Scripture to clearly show that the "tree of life" is our Lord Jesus Christ, and the "tree of evil" is Satan (Ezekiel 31. Revelations also tells us that when the eternal age is ushered in we will once again have literal access to that "tree of life."

The next few verses give us the location of this garden.

Genesis 15: 15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (different man, different location, and--notice this!--no woman yet).Genesis 15: 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

This isn't some apple tree! Satan is that bad tree, but there are still some churches out there adhering to that "apple" myth..."sigh" :-(

Genesis 2: 18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Notice here another significant difference: God creates the man FIRST, then creates the animals--the exact opposite of the 6th day creation. (They were probably the domestic animals [farm animals] of this day).

Genesis 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Also note that here we definitely DO NOT have the male and female creation together as in the 6th day. Here we have first "the" Adam, then the animals, then the woman.

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22. And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

What was this "surgery" done on "the" Adam? Good question! I don't think anyone knows for sure, except God... But the woman Eve was to become the "mother of all living" (for a special reason, because through her and her offspring the Lord would be born and only those who are in Him will be living when God brings in the 3rd and eternal earth age).

Genesis 2: 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Know why they were not ashamed? They hadn't yet run into Satan...yet...

The word serpent is translated "the upright one", "the glistening one", "the hypnotizing one", "the deceiving one." Actually Satan is given many roles and names in Scripture, and when you go to the Book of Revelations you will see this is so. It's important to be honest and say up front that for some this 3rd chapter of Scripture is "too graphic." Well, that's a mistake, because if you do this then you are getting too self-righteous for God Himself. More importantly, you will miss the truth of God's Word.

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

We are told here that the serpent, Satan, is more subtle (6175. 'aruwm, aw-room'; pass. part. of H6191; cunning (usually in a bad sense):--crafty, prudent, subtil) than any other living thing in the world.

Genesis 3: 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

The Hebrew for tree is (6086. 'ets, ates; from H6095; a tree (from its firmness); hence wood (plur. sticks):-- + carpenter, gallows, helve, + pine, plank, staff, stalk, stick, stock, timber, tree, wood) and comes from the prime (6095. 'atsah, aw-tsaw'; a prim. root; prop. to fasten (or make firm), i.e. to close (the eyes):--shut.) This atsah is what is being referred to here in Genesis. We are talking here about the opening and closing of the eyes. This is why Satan later says that her "eyes will be opened". But opened to what?! Evil!

We need also look at the word "touch". The Hebrew here is (5060. naga', naw-gah'; a prim. root; prop. to touch, i.e. lay the hand upon (for any purpose; euphem., to lie with a woman); by impl. to reach (fig. to arrive, acquire); violently, to strike (punish, defeat, destroy, etc.):--beat, (X be able to) bring (down), cast, come (nigh), draw near (nigh), get up, happen, join, near, plague, reach (up), smite, strike, touch). It means, among other things to lie with a woman. What happened here, and the meaning thereof, is quite clear, as we shall see.

Genesis 3: 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Before going further, and to reinforce what is stated above, go to--

2 Corinthinians 11:1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. 2. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Look at the subject and object here. The object is to not lose virginity, the subject is as presenting you to one husband without slipping.

2 Corinthinans 11: 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The word "beguiled" in the Greek is (1818. exapatao, ex-ap-at-ah'-o; from G1537 and G538; to seduce wholly:--beguile, deceive). It means to wholly seduce.

The subject here is that Paul is afraid that these people are going to lose their virginity as Eve did who was wholly seduced by the Serpent. Paul is using an actual event that happened in the Garden to teach the believer's a lesson. And the lesson is explained in the following verses where Paul warns the believers to beware of false teachers coming with their lies and deceit.

Does it not occur to you that anyone who lies or does not teach the truth about what happened in the Garden is then more likely a false (or at least ignorant) teacher?! But let's get back to the Garden--

Genesis 3: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Here comes a shocker for some: What did her husband (Adam) "eat." He did not eat Eve's fruit -- no--he partook of the same fruit that she did...Get it? Shocked? Well, there is no reason to apologize for the Word of God... Only those who refuse to teach the truth should be ashamed.

Genesis 3: 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

What did they now know? They knew they were "naked." They sewed fig leaves to cover up their nakedness. Now if you insist on doing some Biblical gymnastics to get around the truth here, go ahead, but like I said, there is no need to apologize for the truth of God's Word. There's no apple here and it's not an apple that brought on this fall!

This situation and it's truth are imperative because Christ warned about it being crucial in order to be able to understand the parable of the Sower and the Seed. False teachers and the ignorant that claim to be ministers of Christ tell fairy tales, instead of the boldness to come forth and teach the truth.

What about the fig leaves? To this day, even in a figure of speech, the fig leaves stand for that which is hidden. And, as we will see, hidden within her womb was an evil thing -- Cain, who will turn out to be the first murderer because his father the Devil was a murderer and a liar :

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Genesis 3: 8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 9. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

(Notice that again and again there is the mentioning of "nakedness" etc. It is also significant that God obviously walked and talked with this man, Adam, as well as setting this man up in a Garden that was no doubt a paradise)

Why would Satan go through these machinations? He obviously already did know about God's plan of salvation for the souls of His children and Satan is attempting to destroy the seed of the woman and the lineage of Christ. Satan will try it again in the 6th chapter when he sends his angels to destroy woman again by creating hybrids (Geber).

Genesis 3: 12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. Here it's again obvious. Adam attempts to blame the woman, but God will have no part of that. Genesis 4: 13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. 14. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

(God degrades Satan to being the lowest of the low, below even the animals).

Genesis 3: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The word "seed" in the Hebrew is (2233. zera', zeh'-rah; from H2232; seed; fig. fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity:-- X carnally, child, fruitful, seed (-time), sowing-time. the root is 2232. zara', zaw-rah'; a prim. root; to sow; fig. to disseminate, plant, fructify:--bear, conceive seed, set with, sow (-er), yield).

No matter how you try and slice this, the word "seed" here means children and it's quite clear that Satan is going to have his seed and Eve is going to have hers -- from whom would eventually come the Lord, who already has (at least in part) already crushed the serpent's head and will finish the job when the 3rd eternal age is ushered in by God. Genesis

Genesis 3: 16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Further proof about what happened. God tells her she's going to suffer in childbirth!

Now if some of you out there think that Jesus never taught about this then you simply do not know your Bible, or are deliberately closing your mind to the truth. In Matthew 13 the Lord is teaching a parable of the Sower and the seed. He warns that if you are going to understand any of His parables you MUST understand that one. Later on, with ONLY his disciples present, the Lord explains it to them. It's important to keep in mind that the Lord is no longer speaking in a parable, but giving a literal explanation of it.

Matthew 13: 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Children in the Greek is (5207. huios, hwee-os'; appar. a prim. word; a "son" (sometimes of animals), used very widely of immed., remote or fig. kinship:--child, foal, son). It means what it means! If anyone chooses not to accept or understand what happened here, then you will probably be ignorant of the Kenites and who the tares really are. If you choose to listen to many of these lies about apples and "stuff" you might really end up in a "tare" pie! Paul, as we saw, warned about these false teacher in 2 Corinthinians.

Genesis 4: 17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

(In comes death. The flesh dies, returns to dust, but the spirit goes back to God) Ecclesiases 12:7.

Genesis 3 20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

At this moment there are still some who will be thinking that this verse makes the 6th day creation incorrect... Well think about this: The only people who will ever "live" eternally are those who make it through the Lord Jesus Christ. Eve is the mother of that lineage, and in that sense she is the mother of "all living", at least those who are to live eternally.

And you can be sure that Satan knows this too, and this is why he attempted to destroy her seed line. And if you look at the root Hebrew word for living... (2421. chayah, khaw-yaw'; a prim. root [comp. H2331, H2424]; to live whether lit. or fig.; causat, to revive:--keep (leave, make) alive, X certainly, give (promise) life, (let, suffer to) live, nourish up, preserve (alive), quicken, recover, repair, restore (to life), revive, (X God) save (alive, life, lives), X surely, be whole) for "living" the strong implication here that is exactly what is meant.

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. 22. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23. Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

(It seems evident that this "tree of life" is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. It is through Him that man once again eventually had access to God once the Lord had paid the price for our sins -- our salvation).

Paul stated in 2 Corinthians 11 that he wanted to present the believers as a chaste virgin to Christ when Christ returns, not as Eve who was wholly seduced (exapatao in the Greek). Let's go back to the study of Genesis and attempt to understand.

Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. As innocent as Eve was in this yet the fact remains that Eve did not realize yet she had an evil being in her womb. Genesis 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

It is difficult for some to understand (or perhaps accept) the word "again" is in the Hebrew (3254. yacaph, yaw-saf'; a prim. root; to add or augment (often adv. to continue to do a thing):-- add, X again, X any more, X cease, X come more, + conceive again, continue, exceed, X further, X gather together, get more, give moreover, X henceforth, increase (more and more), join, X longer (bring, do, make, much, put), X (the, much, yet) more (and more), proceed (further), prolong, put, be [strong-] er, X yet, yield).

It means that Eve continued in child labor. Do you know what happens if a woman continues in labor and another child is born? Twins. But these were not identical twins. Identical twins are born in the same bag of water... it's evident that these were paternal twins, probably born in separate bags of water and are conceived at two separate conceptions. If this is confusing to you then talk to your family doctor and they can explain that to you. It happens and has even happened to the point of where some women have given birth to two children (twins) of two different races.

...There is no great mystery about this. Eve then continued in labor and gave birth to Abel.

Genesis 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

Notice that it does not say "first fruit" offering. It did not say "a proper sacrifice." Now watch this:

Genesis 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Abel brought his "firstlings", the prime, according to God's will and that which is pleasing to Him. Also note it also contained "the fat thereof." This was a proper offering. They both grew to maturity at the same time and at the same time they both were responsible to bring forth offerings to God, again indicating twins.

Genesis 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Here is recorded that the religious act (an offering to God) brought about the first murder.

Genesis 4: 6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

As will seen soon, Cain will be "marked". But the other question is this: "Where did Cain acquire all this anger?" Where did he acquire all this sin and dishonesty? It was from his father, of course -- Satan.

Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. 9. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? So here Cain is like his father, a liar, for he lied to God. Cain knew where Abel was because he had buried him.

Did you know the Lord Himself talked about Cain and his Children? go to John 8, and think about this as you read: do you trust men or do you trust God's Word?

Howeever, before we proceed it is necessary to set the stage here. There are some people claiming to be Jews and actually they are Kenites. They are lying, they are not of our brother Judah. They are simply Kenites. Jesus is addressing them and bringing them down:

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Who was the first murderer? We just read about it in Genesis 4. Why is there no truth in Cain? Because of his father, the evil one. Want more proof?

John 8: 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47. He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Why did Jesus say they did not "hear" Him? Because they are not of God... they are of Satan. So you have here the Kenite, very present, this enmity between the woman's seed and Satan's seed (Genesis 3:15). That enmity is still present, unfortunately most Christians are not aware that this enmity continues on to this time.

They are not able to recognize a Kenite when they see one, and therefore they are taken advantage of. It is so important to study and begin to understand this reality. This way you can properly understand a little why the religious community in Judea put the Lord to such a task.

Genesis 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. 11. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

Still wondering? Well, this was mentioned again by the Apostle. Again, please, as you read on ask if to follow the traditions of men or the Word of God?

1 John 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. 13. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

(and this especially true if you tell them the truth). Now to those who don't study, this might seem a strange connotation, but just note the simplicity in which the Lord teaches (He is the Living Word and is The Word)... If you never studied it, and instead listen to some Sunday school teacher's that would tell you some silly story about Eve "eating an apple"...? Then how can you know the truth when such lies have worked themselves into so many of the churches of the world today? In his overall plan, Satan uses his children quite adequately...

There is another place where the Lord mentions this: In Matthew 23, after the Lord finishes describing the 8 woes he goes on...

Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Now the Lord is calling them a "generation" (offspring) of the serpent (don't believe it? Check out your concordance). And who are they? Is not Satan the "serpent." The Lord goes on to tell them that they are responsible for all righteous blood from Abel to Zacharias (Matthew 23:35). It is these scribes and Pharisees (Kenites) that bring about the 8 woes and you as a Christian...if you are not privy to that information how could you know better?

This is why the Lord said if you don't understand the first parable of the sower as to what happened you're not going to understand any of the rest of God's Word. That is why it is really crucial that you do understand.

Too Graphic? Too controversial? No it is not! Are you afraid of reality? Can your church not stand the Word of God? Or is your church too "good" for the Word of God, that they cannot tell truth as truth comes forth? Truth whereby your own children can have knowledge and wisdom from God...? For the entire Word of God and the plan of God that flows from the beginning are these acts that happened in the Garden that brought sin into the world. That sin would always be with us throughout the age, because enmity was placed between the seed of Eve and the seed of the serpent.

Genesis 4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

(Here is God's curse upon Cain. A word to the wise should be sufficient).

Genesis 4: 13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Cain obviously knew that there were other people on the earth, and he knew that there were other people other than his family.

Genesis 4: 15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. 16. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Another land? Another nation? We have only one family so far... This is the 6th day creation, there were other people on the earth before this 8th day creation.

Genesis 4: 17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

You will begin to note a very strange thing. In this 4th chapter there is the genealogy of Cain. Adam's comes later and you will see that Cain is not the son of Adam, for you will never find Cain in Adam's genealogy--why, because he WAS NOT Adam's son. But it is important to note that God is giving a great warning in Genesis 4, whereby the closely similar ( or in a few instances even the same) names are given to Cain's children as are to the children of Adam. It is enough to deceive most people who are not sharp.

Genesis 4:18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. 19. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. 20. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.

21. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. 22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. ("Tubalcain" means a production of Cain)

Genesis 4: 23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. Lamech doubled murder!

You have here from Lamech, where it leaves off with Cain's offspring. You still find murder in the last generation as there was in the first through Cain himself. Why, where did this wickedness come from? Their father, Satan.

Read on carefully -- how wise are you?

Genesis 4: 25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. 26. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

You don't see this bunch murdering, boasting or building big cities.

Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2. Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. 3. And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

Sure Adam had another son, Abel, but Abel was dead by now, but Cain was and yet he is not in this genealogy. Again, why? Because Cain was NOT a child of Adam, but of the Serpent. If you prefer to continue to accept the mysticism of Eve eating apples or are you intending to hear the Word of God? This fact and event will be discussed many times throughout the Word of God so you had better get it straight in your head!

Genesis 5: 4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: 5. And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. 6. And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:

7. And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: 8. And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. 9. And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

10. And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: 11. And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died. 12. And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:

13. And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: 14. And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died. 15. And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:

16. And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: 17. And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died. 18. And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:

19. And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. 21. And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

22. And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23. And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24. And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

25. And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech: 26. And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: 27. And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

28. And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29. And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. 30. And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

31. And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died. 32. And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

(God's Word is complete, and it is wonderful. Yes, there are some things that are not "pretty" (if you will) but then sin as it was brought out in the Garden isn't "pretty.

We continue and see that Satan knew that through Eve would come the child that would be the Savior to the world, salvation one and for all times for us to participate in. Satan attempted to destroy that but he failed. We will now see how Satan made his second attempt to destroy the lineage from which the Savior would come.

Before proceeding it is important to always keep in mind that Cain was NOT the offspring of Adam, and in the Scripture you will never see Cain mentioned as being part of the progeny of Adam. Get it straight, Cain was the offspring of Satan and this is the way it is and you should not allow anybody to deceive you about this.

It is striking to note that in some cases the names of Cain's genealogy and that of Adam are almost the same, sometimes the name is the same. It would seem that here God wants us to learn that we should be careful whether someone calls themselves the most glorious of God or whatever they might call themselves.Be alert when you note these things or when you study names.

For instance, most people teach that Moses' father-in-law, Jethro, was Kenite and then will take Jethro's children and even contaminate Moses' offspring. You must understand that sometimes names come from more than one reason. Jethro was called a Kenite because he lived in the land of the Kenites. That is why his daughters were refused water of their sheep before all the Kenites were finished watering theirs. This is because they were not of them--they were foreigners there.

Jethro was a Medianite priest of Medan. He was a Medianite. A Medianite is one of Abraham's sons, a direct son of Abraham by Ketura (see Genesis 25). Jethro was called a Kenite because he "lived" there, just as he might be called a "Kansan" if he lived in he lived in Kansas. You must learn to distinguish between a geographical name and a family name. So again, God is telling us to watch out for that.

In the 5th chapter we can go right to the 28th verse. What precedes is a continuation of the information regarding the lineage.

Genesis 5: 28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29. And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

This Lamech is the descendant of Adam, not Cain. Two totally different Lamech's here -- one is a Kenite, the other the son of Adam, a child of God. As you trace the Kenite there might be some that will say they were destroyed in the flood... Wrong! You will find that they were already doing the scribship (bookkeeping for Judah) in 1 Chronicles 2:55 (55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab). So use your head and learn...

Genesis 5:29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

The stage is now set for Chapter 6... In chapter 3 Satan attacked the woman to destroy the future seed that would bruise his head--Messiah. He tried this by polluting it. Now we see where Satan sends some of his fallen angels (mentioned in Jude 6). Here we see Satan not only attempting to destroy the woman (Eve) but now her daughters as well.

Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Want some NT proof of this?:

1 Corinthians 11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

What preceded this verse is Paul warning women and he does not warn them against drunks or thieves, but from angels. Paul is saying here that the Holy Spirit should be over the woman's head.

Genesis 6: 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The progeny of this mixing were misfits. Many of them giants (5303. nephiyl, nef-eel'; or nephil, nef-eel'; from H5307; prop., a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant:--giant).

Here mankind is going to have a real problem, because these angelic beings were not born innocent of woman, but came directly from the heavens (see Jude) and begin to seduce women. These misfits, mongrels, they were probably a monstrosity!

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Now as much as some might have trouble accepting or perceiving this situation, Jesus said it was going to happen again! Think not? When He was asked how it would be when He returns to His elect, here is what He said:

Matthew 24: 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,.

How can this be? Satan and his angels are going to be cast out of heaven in the end times (Revelations 12:7).

Genesis 6: 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

There was one man and his family that found grace (unmerited favor) Why?

Genesis 6: 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Noah's offspring are perfectly free of contamination from the fallen angels who had polluted most of the Adamic offspring. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out. The Hebrew for "generations" is (8435. towledah, to-led-aw'; or toledah, to-led-aw'; from H3205; (plur. only) descent, i.e. family; (fig.) history:--birth, generations). Got it? So Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives were 100% free from the contamination of these fallen angels. They did not mix with the falling angels, meaning they did not have Sex with falling angels.

Genesis 6: 10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.11. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.12. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

(all of them had intermixed except Noah's family)

Genesis 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.14. Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.15. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

16. A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

This verdict from God will hold true EXCEPT for those chosen to have the protection of the covenant of the ark. Read on very carefully...

Genesis 6: 18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.19. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

Did God not state in Genesis 6:3 that man has become "flesh"? Each of the 6 day creation -- were they not "flesh?" Of course they were. Were the Kenites not "flesh." Of course they were. Take two of every living kind and let them fall under God's covenant protection of the ark... This is one way they could have survived.

The other way (probably more likely) is that the flood did exactly what God wanted it to: destroyed the area in which the angels had settled and where God's children had mixed with them. The fallen angels wanted to intermix with the Adamic race to pollute the lineage of the Messiah, and there is no reason to believe that they would have done so with the others.

Genesis 6: 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. 20. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. 21. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. 22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

CONCLUSION

It's important to understand what happened in these first 6 chapters of Genesis. This is especially true if one is to understand what we are going to experience in these end times. Jesus told us in Matthew 24:37-38 that it's going to be just like that again, when He has Michael cast Satan and his angels out on this earth (Revelations 12). And note the "woes" to those on earth that foolishly don't know the plan of God or the Word of God and will fall into Satan's huge deception (the so-called "rapture" surely being one of the most obvious deceptions today). Study the Word. Listen to the Holy Spirit!

May God bless you and yours
